Margaret Lamy Averill Sicking Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Sicking; dear sister of Caron O'Dower (Edward). She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Hollis Averill and Margaret Lamy Averill and her sisters Ann Averill Miller (H. Richard surviving), Susan Averill Meier (John J. III surviving), Barbara Averill Love as well as her stepmother Mary Francis Averill Lytton. Margie was a beloved godmother and aunt to many children and will be greatly missed by all. She was born on June 7, 1936 in St. Louis, attended Villa Duchesne, Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in Physical Therapy. Over the years, Margie used her physical therapy skills in services to St. John's Mercy Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and the Children's Home Society. She also gave of her time to the Judevine Center, St. Joseph Catholic Church, and many other charitable causes. Services: The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Meramec at Maryland in Clayton on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends will celebrate her life at a reception to be held at Meadowhill, #5 Countryside Lane, on Geyer Road south of Clayton Road, Frontenac. Valet parking will be provided. In lieu of flowers, remembrances for Margie may be made to the Children's Home Society, 1167 Corporate Lake Dr. St. Louis, MO 63132 or to the American Heart Association . ARRANGEMENTS BY JAMES A.
